When protecting sensitive electronics in extreme conditions, the Altelix AZ Series Air Conditioned/Heated Enclosures stand out with their rugged design and advanced climate control. These weatherproof enclosures are engineered for reliability in both hot and cold environments, making them ideal for telecom, networking, and industrial applications.

Maintenance Free Heating and Air Conditioning System

At the heart of this enclosure is a built-in digitally controlled heating and air conditioning system designed to regulate internal temperatures in hot and cold climates. Mounted externally on the enclosure to maximize interior space, this system provides 800 BTU of cooling and 520W of heating. Operation of this system is done via a programmable digital temperature controller. Heat and air conditioning Turn-On/Turn-Off temperatures can be separately programmed as well as Under/Over temperature alarms.

Designed to be maintenance free, this AC/Heating system features no moving components (except for fan), no compressor, refrigerant or filters to be changed. The reliable solid state construction ensures long-term reliability and minimal upkeep.

Heavy Duty Construction

The NS Series enclosures are built from powder-coated steel and rated NEMA 4X, offering protection against water, dust, corrosion, and ice. This rating makes it suitable for the harshest of outdoor environments. RF transparent insulation inside the enclosure helps maintain internal temperatures. The enclosure’s robust design ensures long-term durability and resistance to environmental wear. The NFC Series enclsoures are molded from durable and UV resistant fiberglass reinforced polyester (FRP). These NEMA 3X rated enclosures feature a fully gasketed lockable door with quarter-turn latches to secure your equipment.

Removable 120VAC Power Module

These enclosures feature a removable power module that attaches to the bottom of the enclosure. Constructed of rugged aluminum, they can be easily removed for servicing and are fully gasketed to ensure a proper seal. This power module features two pre-wired duplex 120VAC power outlets (4 outlets total) and a pre-wired 5 foot power cord, so no additional wiring is required. This simplifies deployment and reduces setup time, especially for equipment that requires reliable AC power.

Available with 19" Equipment Rack Frames

For secure mounting of rack-compatible devices such as switches, routers, patch panels and servers, these enclosures are available with Altelix's heavy duty 19" equipment rack frames. Available in three configurations, 6U, 8U and vertical 4U, these rack frames attach to the equipment mounting plate inside the enclosure making them perfect for structed deployment in remote or outdoor locations.
